Swift got inspiration from musicians who played country music, like Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks to create original material that expressed the apathy she felt at 13 years old. At the age of 13, Swift's parents decided to sell their property in Pennsylvania and moved to Hendersonville Tennessee so she could dedicate more time to courting country labels near Nashville.
